God's Strength
Favorite Bible Verse
Philippians 4:13 - "I can do everything through him who gives me strength."Another Bible Verse About Strength
Psalm 119:28 - "My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to your word."There are many times when you need God's strength. While you are practicing or teaching or when you are going through a hard time. God is always there for you and he will give you the strength. YOU can do everything when God gives you strength. It is hard sometimes to pray to God and ask for his strength. You may just think it might come to you. You ALWAYS have God's strength and his strength is in you! I remember one time while I was at a gymnastics meet, I was on parallel bars and I was warming up. All of a sudden, in my warm up, I flew off the parallel bars and my finger went into a metal pole and my face hit the pole. My coach told me to stand up and walk around while he was getting ice for me. My finger was broken. I was still going to compete no matter what. I prayed to God to give me the strength to finish the meet and to stay safe. I competed and didn't place but I finished. On the way back home from the meet I prayed to God and thanked him for keeping me safe the rest of the meet and for giving me the STRENGTH.
Now it is time to connect God's strength to Engineering!
Bridges! There have been many bridges that have been destroyed because of bad weather or bad construction. Bridges stay up and are excellent because they have a strong foundation and strong pillars. God is like our pillars and the sin is like the bad weather. The sin tries to make us fall and break down and loose our faith but God, our pillars, keep us up and help us through the hard times. Now what if our pillars are false God's? Our electronics, or money or many other things. Don't let your pillars be false Gods. If you have false Gods as your pillars and there is sin trying to break you down, you will end up just like the bridge in this video. Let God be your pillars and keep you up don't let the horrific weather break you and and your faith.
One biblical reference I have is the story of Samson. Samson was in love with Delilah and he told her that if his hair was cut off he would become weak. So she made a plan and they cut off his hair. He was weak and he prayed to God and his hair grew back. He gave Samson strength through his hair. Then he destroyed the pillars killing him with all the men who hurt him and cut his hair. That is a story of how God gave Samson strength through his hair.
